  • The structuring and formation of private equity funds (leverage buyout funds, real estate funds and secondary funds) and hedge funds (including master-feeder structures, parallel structures, fund of funds and "mini-master" structures) for established investment fund managers and publicly traded companies
  • The acquisition by a consortium led by the Lightstone Group, LLC of Extended Stay Hotels from affiliates of The Blackstone Group for $8 billion
  • The $1.8 billion acquisition by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Ltd. (United Arab Emirates) of Standard Aero Acquisition Holdings, Inc. from private equity firm The Carlyle Group
  • The proposed $3.7 billion going-private acquisition of NDS Group plc. by News Corporation in partnership with Permira Advisers Ltd.
  • Goldman Sach's recapitalization of the Yankees Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network
  • The $800 million sale of the Hudson Group to Advent International
  • The "up-C" initial public offering (IPO) of Duff & Phelps, with Goldman, Sachs & Co. and UBS Investment Bank acting as joint bookrunning managers for the offering
  • Wachovia Securities' issuance of $3.3 billion in securities of Duke Funding High Grade III CDO
  • Merrill Lynch's issuance of $1.996 billion in securities of Kleros Preferred Funding IV
  • Morgan Stanley's issuance of $670 million in securities of Kefton CDO
  • Citigroup's issuance of $400 million in securities of Neptune CDO III
  • Lehman Brothers' issuance of $1.5 billion in securities of Vela CBO
  • Merrill Lynch's issuance of $1.7 billion in securities of Jupiter High Grade CDO III
